Gay Marriage in Arizona

SUMMARY:  This article was prepared just a short while ago in time but when the landscape was so different:  In the fall of year 2014, of course, the legal battle ended on one front in Arizona, when gay marriage in Arizona became lawful.  In April 2015, Arizona’s governor (Gov.Ducey) issued orders placing gay couples on equal footing with others related to adoption and fostering children.  As of this update in April 2015, cases are pending before the United States Supreme Court regarding states’ rights to limit or regulate within this topic.  The following article is for posterity and reflects legal challenges historically, but today’s Summary is the precursor to the nation’s pulse and where Arizona has landed.
